Metallized PET vs. Aluminum Foil in Corrugated Packaging
Why accurate MPET terminology matters when specifying reflective laminated paper and insulated corrugated boxes.
Metallized PET (MPET) film uses a very thin metallic coating on PET film, while solid aluminum foil is a different material structure. For Yongtai's reflective laminated paper and lined corrugated boxes, MPET is the accurate technical description.
Buyers may still use the common search term “foil-lined box,” but specifications should identify the actual film, paper grade, adhesive, thickness, and intended converting process.
